A Stourbridge children’s centre is hosting a charity fashion show next month, in memory of a seven month old boy who attended the centre.
Hob Green Children’s Centre will hold the ladies fashion show on Friday June 10 at 7pm in aid of the charity, Climb.
It has been organised in memory of seven months old Alex who died last September of Leigh’s Disease, which is a life-limiting, inherited metabolic condition. The family still attend the centre at Hob Green Primary School, Hob Green Road, Pedmore, Stourbridge and continue to be supported by the staff.
The evening will open with a performance from Fantasy Dance before the models take to the catwalk. Tickets cost £5 which includes a drink and the opportunity to buy brand named clothes at 50-70% off high street prices. All money raised from the event will be donated to Climb who research the disease and support affected families.
In addition to the fashion show the centre is holding a giant raffle, with prizes including an overnight stay at a hotel in Bewdley, a family daytrip with Greenline Coaches, Severn Valley Railway tickets plus many more. Tickets cost £1 and are available from the children’s centre and the raffle will be drawn during the evening.

Work started on the state of the art exhibit in September 2009 and forms part of the four-mile self-drive safari. To ensure that the pair of young adult rhino feel completely at home, their new house - which alone cost £500,000 - features central heating, rubber lined floors, a deep litter of bark in which to sleep and a heated indoor pool in which to wallow - is considered to be one of the best Rhino facilities in the UK.

A fabulous market for both shoppers and traders alike. With approx 250 stalls selling a huge range of all new products.
The market trades every Sunday from 9am to 4pm and is located at Walsall Football Club, just of junction 9 of the M6 motorway.
Bescot is the biggest and busiest Sunday market in the Midlands with a fantastic atmosphere, a great family day out.

All traders must have Public Liability Insurance and new traders will be asked to complete a Registration form, in some cases photo I.D. will be asked for.
