MAN RECEIVES STAB WOUND IN DUDLEY WOUNDING E-mail

DETECTIVES have launched an investigation after a man received a stab wound during an unprovoked attack in Dudley over the weekend.

Officers were called at around 1.25am on Saturday 16 May after an ambulance had been called to the 26-year-old victim.

Road closed for emergency repairs E-mail

Emergency repairs are to be carried out on the B4154, Beacon Road in the Aldridge and Pheasey area of Walsall.

 
A stretch of the road from Pinfold Lane to Bridle Lane was closed at 2pm today after workers carrying routine repairs discovered a crack this morning.

COMMUNITY GROUP GET A BOOST FROM POLICE FUND E-mail

A COMMUNITY project in Wolverhampton has been given a boost after receiving a cheque from a West Midlands Police fund.

St.Peter’s Walk Residents Association and Neighbourhood Watch were awarded with a cheque for £1,500 after their application to the Police Property Fund Act was successful.

Dudley catering Services cooks up a national award E-mail

Excellent meals and service are being served up in Dudley, according to a national award scheme which gave it the highest score in the local authority sector.

 
Dudley catering services retained its status of Hospitality Assured from the Institute of Hospitality, which it has held since 2006.
 
The award, which highlights a standard of service and business excellence, recognises the quality of the catering delivered by the Dudley Council-run service. It provides meals at more than 100 schools, meals for social care settings, civic cuisine and catering at conferences.
