A young Dudley Boxer is dreaming of a future in the sport after picking up his first amateur crown.
Josh Wynne, aged 15, claimed The West Midland Championship in the 54-57 kilogram weight division. The youngster, who has been boxing for three years and trains at Cradley Heath ABC, lost his first three fights but has now won seven on the trot to take the title.
He will represent The Midlands in The County Championships on 24th/25th October 09. Josh said: "I just really enjoy boxing, I never thought I would start fighting but found I was good at it. To win it in under ten fights is great."
Trainer Ronnie Campbell added: "It's been unbelieveable watching Josh turn his fortunes around. He works hard and is very talented kid."
