Anchor Lane household waste and recycling centre closures
Wolverhampton City Council has recently announced that it will be closing its Anchor Lane waste and recycling centre two days a week.
From 1 April 2010, the Anchor Lane site will be closed on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
The decision follows a review of the site’s usage, as part of Wolverhampton City Council's savings programme and it has been agreed the following reduced opening hours will be introduced from April 1 2010:
Summer (1 April – 30 September): Monday to Friday 10am – 8pm
Saturday/Sunday 10am – 4.30pm
Winter (1 October – 31 March): Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm
Saturday/Sunday 10am – 4.30pm
Although maintained by Wolverhampton City Council, the site is used by some Dudley borough residents.
Dudley Council would like to remind its residents that there are other facilities available across the borough which are all listed on the council website or by calling Dudley Council Plus. Anyone wishing to find details of local recycling facilities or waste and recycling collections should visit www.dudley.gov.uk/environment--planning/rubbish-waste-and-recycling or call 0300 555 2345
