MAN DIES AFTER RTC AT M5 JUNCTION

A MAIN junction off the M5 was closed yesterday morning after police launched an investigation into a fatal road traffic collision.
Police were called at 8.15am on Monday April 26 after the incident involving a Ford Ranger car.
The vehicle exited the northbound carriageway of the motorway at junction 2 for Oldbury. After travelling along the sliproad to the traffic island the car collided with street furniture before coming to rest at the entry sliproad to the northbound carriageway of the M5.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.
The driver, a 33-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he later died.
The junction was closed for four hours while enquiries were made at the scene by officers from the Central Motorway Police Group, with the aid of specialist officers from West Midlands Police.
