TWO MEN AT BIRMINGHAM CROWN COURT FOR TRIAL AFTER 75 kg HEROIN SEIZED IN HALESOWEN

Two men, one from Bedworth and one from Holland are to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday 13 May for the start of the trial into conspiracy to supply drugs.

They were charged after 75 kg of heroin was seized in a dramatic swoop by specialist officers from West Midlands Police in November 2009.

The drugs, with a street value of more than £3.5 million, were stored in boxes and retrieved from a vehicle which had been stopped in Lye, Stourbridge. The drugs were in half kg packets and stored in three boxes, fifty in each box.
