A MAN is due to appear in court tomorrow (Wednesday 8 February), accused of kidnapping a child, and abducting another, in Oldbury.
Michael Jonathan Jackson, of Bristnall Hall Road, Oldbury, will appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing.
The 49-year-old faces charges of kidnap, false imprisonment, threats to kill and sexual assault. The charges follow an incident in which a 10-year-old boy was reported as missing from Oldbury on Sunday 13 November 2011. The boy was later found at a local flat.
There is also a further charge of child abduction. This relates to a separate incident on 14 September 2011 in which an 11-year-old girl from Oldbury was allegedly abducted.
Two men, aged 48 and 30, who were arrested in connection with this investigation have been released without charge.
