Residents in Rushall can drop in to see community worker Emma Harper every Tuesday thanks to sessions that have been arranged through the area partnership.
These drop in surgeries are being held every Tuesday from 8am until 12.30pm at Rushall Medical Centre in Lichfield Road and started last month.
People can talk to Emma about a range of issues.
While Emma is a community social worker who receives referrals from GPs and district nurses as part of her role, she is also she can offer a range of support and information on a host of topics not necessarily connected to social care.
Councillor Barbara McCracken, Walsall Council cabinet member for social care and health, said: "Emma's work brings her into contact with a wide range of people in the community and as a result she has acquired a lot of useful information that could benefit many residents.
"From being able to suggest clubs and groups that might be of interest to the elderly to suggesting support for an isolated young mother, Emma's expertise can make a real difference."
Councillor Zahid Ali, Walsall Council cabinet member for communities and partnerships, added: "The Brownhills, Rushall – Shelfield & Pelsall Area Partnership is working hard to provide the specific, tailored support that will bring about the most benefits to residents.
"These drop-in sessions give people the opportunity for a confidential, one to one chat and will also help us build up a bigger picture of both the needs of our communities and the contribution they can make to others."
Residents can just drop in to see Emma, if appointments are available, or they can make an appointment in advance at reception or by contacting 01922 622212.
