Workshop about finding your ancestors in unexpected places

Have you compiled a family tree but want to know more about how your ancestors lived? Then Walsall Local History Centre has just the thing for you!

A workshop  in Essex Street will  examine archives and other sources which you can use to bring your ancestors to life if they attended a non-Anglican church or chapel.

Ruth Vyse, head of Walsall Local History Centre, who will be leading the workshop said:

“Course participants will be able to look at sources at the Centre and further afield which help us to research areas such as whether or not  our ancestors went to church, where  they worshipped and what social activities they were involved with.   They will also have the opportunity to discover how to hunt for records for ancestors from different parts of the country.”

The workshop runs from 2-4 pm on Monday 6 February at Walsall Local History Centre.  The cost is  £5.  Booking is essential on 01922 721305.
